SUMMARY:Financial Empowerment for Young People
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an evening discussion exploring how financial education and inclusion can better support young people\, particularly those from minority communities\, across the UK. \nOrganised by the Financial Inclusion Forum in partnership with the Hyfa Foundation\, City University and Woke Finance\, this event will bring together practitioners and experts to discuss what can be done to tackle financial exclusion and improve financial confidence among young people. \nRecent research has highlighted gaps in financial capability\, particularly in areas such as budgeting\, credit\, and long-term planning. Their goal is to fill the gap between the lack of financial literacy in the UK and the role it plays in helping get people out of poverty\, improve their mental health and gain skills and confidence to take control of their lives. \nAbout Woke Finance \nWoke Finance CIC is a social enterprise that gives young people aged 11-21 access to the knowledge of managing their personal finances enabling them to make better future decisions and reach their full potential.
